Phil. Red Cross Bloggers Conference

Phil. Red Cross is very close to my heart. I remember when I was in Grade 6, I enrolled in the First Aid course that was offered in our school. Phil. Red Cross facilitated that.

I also donated blood several times already. I know that donating blood can help many people. I do it yearly, someone told me kasi it’s good to donate aside from helping other people but also in our body din, kasi mapapalitan ng bagong dugo yung katawan natin. ^_^

Last October 24, I was very lucky to be invited on the first ever Phil. Red Cross Bloggers Conference at the new PRC Tower in Boni, Mandaluyong City.

The program started with  the opening remarks of Dr. Gwendolyn Pang. Then presentation of different programs and projects of Phil. Red Cross, presented by none other than Sen. Dick Gordon, PRC CHAIRMAN and CEO. 

These are some of the topics: Safety Service, Volunteer services, Haiyan and the latest project, the MVR 3.

The latest program of Phil Red Cross is the MVR. Let me tell you more about this:

WHAT IS THE MVR?


The Million Volunteer Run is a humanitarian run organized by the Philippine Red Cross to raise funds to purchase lifesaving vehicles and equipment.
WHEN IS THE MVR?
The MVR will be held on Sunday, December 13 2015 from 6am to 10am
WHERE WILL THE MVR BE HELD?
102 Philippine Red Cross chapters nationwide will have their own run sites.

    I'm too underweight to donate. My sister keeps on bugging me to join in Red Cross, it's just that my sister is a nurse and I'm not. Sana makapagdonate din ako someday. Nakakatuwa naman na may bloggers conference and Red Cross.

    Hello Shayn! Yeah if underweight hindi pwede mag donate. But you can always support Phil. Red Cross in many ways. Like joining the Million Volunteers Run..sorry shameless plugging. hihi! Anyways, thank you Shayn for visiting my blog! 🙂
